These Terms of Service govern all purchases made through our online store. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms and also our Artwork License Agreement.
Making Sense offers art prints and products through a print-on-demand (POD) service powered by Gelato. This means that each item is custom-made upon order and shipped directly from one of Gelato’s fulfillment partners.
1. The Agreement
These terms apply to the purchase of products from Making Sense via our online store.
All artwork and designs sold on this website are the intellectual property of Making Sense. Unauthorized reproduction or resale is strictly prohibited.
2. The Parties

Buyer: The person placing the order.
3. Price
Prices are displayed in your local currency where available.
Shipping is included.
Taxes are calculated at checkout based on your location.
4. Conclusion of the Agreement
The agreement is considered concluded when the buyer has received an order confirmation.
Once an order is placed, it cannot be changed or canceled, as production starts immediately.
5. Payment
We accept payment via PayPal, Vipps, Visa, and Mastercard. The seller may require payment from the time the item is shipped. For credit or debit card payments, the amount may be reserved upon ordering, and the card will be charged upon dispatch.
6. Delivery
The products are produced and shipped via a Print on Demand (POD) service provided by Gelato.
Production time: typically range 4-7 business days.
Delivery time: Varies based on destination and chosen shipping method (estimated time provided at checkout). We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information. We are not liable for orders shipped to incorrect addresses.
7. Risk of the Item
The risk for the item transfers to the buyer when the item is received by the buyer or their representative.
8. Right of Withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to personal photos and posters or so-called Print on Demand photos due to the custom nature of that the products you order are personalized and made specifically for each order. We only accept returns if the item is damaged or defective.
Section 22(e) of the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act states that the right of withdrawal does not apply to ”the delivery of goods that are made to the consumer’s specifications or have been clearly personalized.”

9. Delay and Non-Delivery – Buyer’s Rights and Deadline for Reporting Claims
If an order is not received within the expected delivery time, the buyer must contact us within 14 days from the estimated delivery date.
Before reporting a missing order, please ensure that:
- The shipping address provided is correct and complete.
- You have contacted the carrier to attempt to locate the package.
- The package is not marked as delivered by the shipping carrier.
- There are no recent updates from the shipping carrier in the tracking link.
10. Defective Item – Buyer’s Rights and Complaint Deadline
If the item is damaged or has a defect that were not caused by you, the buyer must contact us within 21 days of delivery.
The following information must be included:
- Description of the problem.
- Information on how the order was packaged.
- Photos of the damage and packaging.
Providing clear pictures of the damaged item and packaging helps us expedite the process of sending a replacement order. This information is crucial for our internal reporting and helps us investigate the issue with our print and logistics partners to prevent similar incidents in the future.
If Gelato`s quality assurance team validates your claim, we will be happy to send a complimentary replacement order to you as quickly as possible.
11. Seller’s Rights in Case of Buyer’s Default
If the buyer provides an incorrect address, refuses the shipment, or does not collect the package, the item may be returned to the sender and destroyed. A new order must be placed at the buyer’s expense. Making Sense is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the purchase or use of our products.
12. Warranty
Gelato uses standardized printing methods to ensure consistent quality, but minor color variations may occur. This is not considered a manufacturing defect.
Gelato`s Color Consistency: Gelato use the same print machines, paper types, and work processes as there print partners to minimize color variations. However, printing is a chemical process and 100% consistency cannot be achieved. Multiple factors influence the color, consistency, and final result, including: machine type, machine settings, paper types, humidity in the room, when the machine was last cleaned. Color variations that may occur due to the above-mentioned reasons lie within acceptable tolerance levels and are not covered under Gelato`s quality guarantee.
13. Personal Data
The buyer’s information is processed in accordance with applicable privacy regulations and is used only for order processing and customer service.
TikTok Sales Channel Terms
By connecting with and purchasing from our store via TikTok, you agree to the following terms:
- Third-Party Platform – Our store operates on TikTok as an additional sales channel. Any orders placed through TikTok are subject to our general Terms of Service, as well as TikTok's own policies.
- Order Processing & Fulfillment – Orders placed via TikTok will be processed through our Shopify store. Standard processing, shipping, and return policies apply.
- Data Usage & Privacy – By purchasing through TikTok, you acknowledge that TikTok may collect and process your data according to their privacy policy. We do not control TikTok’s data collection practices.
- Advertisements & Promotions – Any promotions, discounts, or advertisements shown on TikTok are subject to change without notice. Discounts may have limitations or be exclusive to TikTok purchases.
- Disputes & Support – Any disputes regarding purchases made via TikTok should be directed to our customer support. However, TikTok may have its own dispute resolution processes that you must follow if the issue relates to their platform.
TikTok Data Collection & Tracking
Our store uses the TikTok Pixel, a tracking tool provided by TikTok, to enhance marketing efforts and improve your shopping experience. By using our website, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- Data Collection – TikTok may collect data about your interactions with our website, including pages viewed, products added to cart, and purchases made. This applies to all visitors, regardless of whether they arrived via TikTok.
- Purpose of Data Use – The collected data is used to analyze website performance, personalize advertising, and measure the effectiveness of our TikTok marketing campaigns.
- Third-Party Data Processing – Your data may be processed according to TikTok’s privacy policy, which can be found on their official website. We do not control how TikTok stores or uses this data beyond our advertising activities.

Managing Your Privacy Preferences – You can adjust your privacy settings through your TikTok account or by using browser settings to limit tracking. Additionally, you can opt out of targeted advertising through various online privacy tools.

14. Dispute Resolution
Complaints must be directed to the seller within a reasonable time, cf. sections 9 and 10. The parties shall attempt to resolve any disputes amicably. If this is not successful, the buyer may contact the Norwegian Consumer Authority for mediation. The Consumer Authority can be reached by phone at +47 23 400 600 or via www.forbrukertilsynet.no.
EU citizens can use the EU Commission’s online complaint portal: http://ec.europa.eu/odr.
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated ”Last updated” date.
